Rat Rock Repair is a specialized climbing shoe repair service based in New York City. We partnered with founders Ryan and Cole to transform their manual order process into a fully automated e-commerce experience.

A stalled web project

Rat Rock Repair was managing climbing shoe orders manually while facing a strict deadline. Their previous web project stalled, putting critical partnerships with local climbing gyms at risk. They needed a reliable digital system to organize incoming orders and handle transactions without missing a step.

An automated platform

We designed and developed a custom WordPress platform tailored to their exact workflow. The new website automates order tracking and securely processes partial payments. We also refined their brand identity to give them a premium look that builds immediate trust with their gym partners.

Setting the visual direction

We started the project with a discovery session to audit their existing assets and define their ideal customer. These insights shaped a visual stylescape that allowed us to brainstorm fresh ideas and sketch the initial website wireframes.

We eliminated user friction by building a fast three-step checkout process. Customers can easily share photos of their shoes and process payments in seconds.

King of cobblers // Ratty’s identity

From a hand-drawn concept to a high-quality professional image, we brought their mascot, Ratty, to life.

Visual elements

By implementing Polaroid photography effects, old paper texture, and interactive icons, we gave the site a vintage grunge feel, making it engaging and unique.
